The Microsoft Excel 2007 program is a comprehensive, performance-based certification preparation program designed to validate business computer skills using Microsoft Excel 2007 software. This interactive online program will prepare you to take Microsoft Certification Exam 77-602. Students will not only gain basic knowledge of the software, but also how to use the auditing toolbar to trace errors, calculate revenue, filter data, and use the VLookup function. The Microsoft Excel 2007 course has continuous assessment for goal-based learning. The course contains three modules with multiple lessons in each. A student needs to achieve 70% of all possible points to be able to continue on to the following module. This course also includes a final project which must be completed and submitted to the instructor. Students will need to have Microsoft Excel 2007 installed on their computer prior to taking this course.

Course Objectives

By completing the Microsoft Excel 2007 course, students will:
• Be introduced to the spreadsheets they will need for a business or department.
• Understand the Autofill function.
• Learn how to merge and center cells, link worksheets and consolidate data, and calculate revenue from several worksheets.
• Work with different scenarios found in the workplace.
• Understand how to use the PivotTable to Auto format and analyze data.
• Know how to filter and outline data, and use the VLookup function.

Prerequisites/Audience
A basic understanding of computer skills, Internet connection, and emailing capabilities are required.

This course is intended for students who want to learn how to effectively use Microsoft Excel 2007.
Requirements/Materials Included
This course cannot be taken on a Mac computer. Technical requirements include but are not limited to having internet access with a 56K modem, but it is highly recommended that you have DSL or High Speed Cable Internet Access; 64 MB system RAM; 200 MB free hard disk space memory or sufficient storage; reliable email account access, CD-ROM/DVD capabilities, and a reliable Internet provider.

You will need the following products already be loaded on the computer in order to take this course: Windows Vista Business edition or Windows XP, Microsoft Excel 2007, Adobe Acrobat Reader (free version), and Flash Player.
